Client Alert: The Department of Homeland Security Ends Automatic Extension of Employment Authorization Documents
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ended the automatic extension of employment authorization documents (EAD) on October 30, 2025. The DHS will now conduct a “proper screening and vetting” for all EAD extension cases.
