Beginning October 16, 2025, the USCIS has started collecting a $1,000 parole fee when granting a new period of parole, also called re-parole. This applies to most forms of parole with some exceptions, such as employees re-entering the U.S. on Advance Parole tied to a pending Adjustment of Status (Form I-485).

The fee is not collected upon filing Form I-131, Application for Travel Documents, Parole Documents, or Arrival and Departure Records; the Department of Homeland Security will notify individuals when the fee is due. For individuals subject to a point of entry inspection, they must pay the fee upon arrival or they may be denied parole.

Some of our clients have received a notice to pay the parole fee earlier than expected. Our team is working diligently to resolve these matters.
